Jatropha curcas seeds

Commonly known as Barbados Nut, Purging Nut, Physic Nut, or JCL. Belonging to the species of flowering plant in the spurge family, Euphorbiaceae, Jatropha curcas seeds is a native to the American tropics. It is fast growing, easy to grow and drought resistant tree. Can attain the height of around 3-6 m and produces seed which contains around 35 to 37% oil. The tree grows on well drained sandy loam and requires good drainage. It lives for over 100 years and can yield seeds for about 50 years. Leaves, flowers, nuts, seeds, roots, bark, latex, shrub, sap, almost every part of the Jatropha is useful. 
Jatropha is used primary as a form of biodiesel fuel. Used for medicinal purposes and helps to cure diseases like tumor, opthalmia, ringworm, ulcers, malaria, skin diseases, bronchitis, asthma, cancer, piles, snakebite, paralysis, dropsy, etc. The Tree seeds oil is used in soap making, candles and cosmetics manufacturing. The by-products, press cake, remained after oil extraction is rich in nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium, hence used as a good organic fertilizer, bio-pesticide or animal fodder. The tree is also grown as an ornamental or hedge plant around agricultural fields.

Moringa Seeds

Moringa is a fast growing, evergreen, deciduous tree, loaded with long, fragile branches, which are covered with small, oval-shaped dark green leaves. Native to the southern foothills of the Himalayas, this is the most widely cultivated and 1 of 13 species of trees belonging to the plant family Moringaceae.




The tree is often referred to as "The Miracle Tree" and "Mothers Best Friend" due to its nutritional benefits. Considered as one of the most nutritious and useful plants ever discovered as it contains a unique combination of vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Almost every part of the tree, like leaves, bark, flowers, fruit, seeds, and root, can be used for mankind and has beneficial medicinal properties. Moringa can cure about 300 diseases. Some of them are anemia, arthritis, rheumatism, asthma, cancer, constipation, diabetes, diarrhea, epilepsy, stomach pain, heart problems, high blood pressure, kidney stones, thyroid disorders, and bacterial, fungal, viral, and parasitic infections, etc. The oil extracted from moringa seeds is used in foods, perfume, and hair care products, and as a machine lubricant. Also, the seed cake remaining after oil extraction is used as a fertilizer and also to purify water.

Bixa Orellana Seeds

Native to the tropical region of the Americas and the only species of the family Bixaceae, Bixa Orellana is a shrub or small tree reaching to 6-20 feet in height, age about 50 years and has pink, white or a pinkish-white flowers. Flowering occurs in October-December. 





It is mainly grown as an ornamental tree and the seeds produces orange-yellow pigments carotenoid, called bixin and norbixin. The seed also called "poor man's saffron" as it makes a good alternative for much expensive spice saffron. Widely used in food, cosmetic, textile and soap industries. Uses varies like a food colorant, a textile dye, an insect repellent, as a sunscreen and against insect bites.
